This course prepares students to apply HPAC automated predictions source modules in order to produce outputs of CBRN events.

Learning Objective:
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to describe the capabilities and limitations of the HPAC program in accordance with the operator’s manual to include: 1- types of hazards that can be modelled; 2 – difference between HPAC and other dispersion modelling tools; 3- hardware/software requirements and performance issues; and 4- how HPAC addresses the uncertainties of environmental and hazard description.  Students will further be able to interpret HPAC modelling calculation results with consideration to environment factors (weather, wind speed/direction, terrain), hazard area concentration prediction, casualty estimates, and software limitations.


Expected Training Audience:
NCOs OR-5 thru OR-9 and Officers OF-1 thru OF-3 or their civilian equivalents who are assigned to a NATO Headquarters or agency, a Military of Defence, Foreign Affairs department or subordinate military headquarters, unit, or agency of any NATO country which fulfils responsibilities in support of NATO CBRN operations.
