From 23 to 24 March 2009, Lieutenant General A R D Shirreff CBE (Commander ARRC) visited the JCBRN Defence COE in Vyškov.

         On the first day of the visit, the General (together with ARRC representatives) met with JCBRN Defence COE Director COL Zdeněk Čížek and other COE members. The COE Director delivered a briefing on the JCBRN Defence concept, mission and tasks. They discussed the possible support of COE experts to ARRC in the future; the experience from ARRC from operational theatres would bring added value to JCBRN Defence COE work.

         The next day, the ARRC delegation (accompanied by British COE member, Lt Col Richard Ovey) visited the British Military Advisory and Training Team (BMATT), afterwhich the delegation was welcomed by First Deputy Chief of General Staff, MG Josef Prokš. The visit continued with Training and Doctrine Directorate presentation. In the afternoon the delegation moved to Liberec to meet with 31 CBRN Brigade.
