On 15th May 2014, Colonel Fausto Vignola, the Director of the Stability Policing Centre of Excellence (NATO SP COE) in Vicenza, Italy, visited the JCBRN Defence COE. The main aim of the visit was to share our experience with the COE development, given that NATO SP COE is still under development and is expected to be fully operational in the first months of 2015.
Colonel Vignola was briefly informed by the JCBRN Defence COE Director, Colonel Jiri Gajdos, on the overall status of the JCBRN Defence COE and than the floor was given to the subject matter experts from the Support department to share their best practices with budget handling, legal and security issues and other mainly organizational matters.
After a short discussion COL Vignola appreciated the added value of the information he obtained and both directors agreed on future cooperation within the COEs.
