The first half of November was a busy period for all Operation Support Department (OSD) members who were participating on Exercise Trident Jupiter 2019 (TRJU 19). The CBRN Reach Back Section supported by the Modeling and Simulation Cell remained based in Vyskov, responding to approximately a dozen Requests for information (RFIs) over the 10 day training period. The Operational Planning Support Section (OPSS) deployed a small two man team to SHAPE, in Mons (Belgium). Their role was to support NATO HQ Staffs with CBRN Planning and Operational issues whilst acting as an interface for the CBRN Reach back Element (CBRN RBE).

The Commander of the Austrian CBRN Defence Centre Colonel (GS) Jürgen SCHLECHTER, accompanied by his deputy Lieutenant Colonel Franz FRAISS and 2 members of the “Forum CBRN Defence”, Brigadier General (retired) Norbert FÜRSTENHOFER and councillor Karl SCHRATTENHOLZER visited the Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence Centre of Excellence (JCBRND COE) on the 26th of November ,2019 in Vyškov, Czech Republic.

Read more: ABU DHABI Police General Headquarters (GHQ) visited VyškovJoint CBRN Defence Centre of Excellence (JCBRND COE) supported the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” conducting a CBRN Workshop at the ABU DHABI Police General Headquarters (GHQ) on 27th and 28th June 2018.  On that occasion LtCol Allert, Chief of the COE’s Doctrine & Terminology Section, briefed on “Lessons Learned from the impacts of CBRN substances”.  Hence, first contacts between the JCBRND COE and the ABU DHABI Police GHQ have been established.  On 19th July 2019 the GHQ counter-visited the COE in Vyškov led by LtCol Mohamed Ebrahim AlAli, Director of CBRN Administration, Emergency and Public Safety, AD Police GHQ.  Professor Amer Abbas Hosin, Senior Executive and Scientific Advisor to the ABU DHABI Police Emergency and Public Safety Directorate, Major Mohamed Salem Alameri, and First Lieutenant Salem Subaih Alkaabi, completed the team.

The aim of the workshop was to identify solutions for the NATO WMD/CBRN Defence Education & Training (E&T) Requirements as part of the NATO WMD/CBRND Education and Training (E&T) Discipline. The requirements were raised during the Training Requirements Analysis (TRA) Workshop in January 2019.
