MOU Signing Ceremony

   

 

               On 24 August 2009, the Memorandum of Understanding between JCBRN Defence COE and Czech TRAIDOC in Vyškov was signed. The JCBRN Defence COE headed by COL Zdeněk Čížek and the Training and Doctrine Directorate headed by its commander COL Jaromír Zůna, met at the signing ceremony of the MOU. The reason for this ceremony was to reinforce the existing relationship between the organizations and to support future cooperation, particularly in the Modeling and Simulation area. This relationship will bring additional skills and experience to NATO capabilities.

CBRN Doctrine and Terminology Panel (DTP) Meeting

 

        The 12th meeting of the DTP was held in Ottawa from 3 to 7 May 2009. The entire meeting, chaired by the DTP chairman LTC Manfred Hagen (JCBRN Defence COE), commenced with welcome speech from Lieutenant Colonel R. G. A. Barker, director Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence from the National Defence Headquarters Ottawa.  

CBRN JAT NRF - 13 Workshop

 

                The CBRN Joint Assessment Team (JAT) for NRF-13, led by JAT Commander COL Fred HILPERT (JCBRN Defence COE), met 11 – 16 May 2009 in Vyškov in order to provide the final preparation for full readiness for the NRF-13 mission.

Visit of Chief G7 HQ ARRC

               On Thursday 7 May 2009, the JCBRN Defence COE was visited by Brigadier Patrick James Allison, Chief G7 at HQ ARRC. The JCBRN Defence COE Director Col Zdeněk Čížek briefed on the COE concept, development and current status. The Brigadier and COE Director discussed the possibilities of strengthening the relationship between the ARRC and JCBRN Defence COE.
