          The JCBRN Defence COE organized the CBRN Unit Evaluators Course Seminar on 26 - 27 January 2010 in Prague, Czech Republic. Since the JCBRN Defence COE was established in 2006, it has been deeply involved in the evaluation process of the CBRN Units, which are engaged in NRF missions. Based on achieved knowledge and experience, our COE would like to share this information by conducting the “CBRN Unit Evaluators Course”.

          On the first day of the seminar, the Subject Matter Experts from SHAPE, JFC, Guided Missile Group and JCBRN Defence COE met to clarify the purpose of this course and to identify the training audience. On the second day, after a long and successful discussion, they specified the course content and finally agreed on the minimum skills and requirements for attendees.

          The two-day seminar was very successful and JCBRN Defence COE got closer to its intention to organize the course, which is the 1st of its kind.

             The Defence against Terrorism Centre of Excellence (DAT COE) arranged an informative workshop, which was held in Ankara, Turkey from 14th to 15th January 2010.  The main aim of this workshop was to make participants familiar with what Nuclear and Radiological Terrorism is, what the basic strategies to manage the related topics are and to describe the different dimensions of such threats.
